Pattern Description:
Jane is a classic wool sweater dress with girlish charm, designed to fit 18" dolls with an 11" chest circumference, such as American Girl. It has an allover, wide rib pattern with a dramatic cable down the front. The main part of the bodice is worked in one piece from the top-down, the skirt in one piece from the bottom-up, then the two are joined at the waist while stitches are still live.
Gauge:
9 1/2 sts & 12 rows/rounds = 1" in k5, p1 rib, un-stretched, on US 1 needles (or size required to get gauge).
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- One Size - To fit 18" dolls with an 11" chest circumference
Materials:
- Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Solids ~ 100% Merino wool; Fingering weight; 1 skein in the Blossom colorway; There are 420 yards per skein, but only approx. 225 yards are needed.
- Set of size US 1 (2.50mm) double pointed needles (DPNs)
- A size US 1 (2.50 mm) circular needle in 24" length
You Will Also Need:
- 4 stitch markers
- 3 buttons, 3/8" in size
- Cable needle
- Darning needle for weaving in ends
