Hippos are my favourite animal, and Huggins the Hippo is my new best friend.
This listing is for the knitting pattern for you to make your own hippo. You will need to know how to knit, purl, cast on, cast off, increases, decreases, and sewing seams. The pattern includes row by row instructions so you don't forget your place. Full instructions for construction including photos are included in the pattern. All pieces are knitted flat on 3.5 mm straight needles.
To knit the hippo you will need approximately 50g of grey wool and some toy stuffing. As a guide to the size, the finished hippo measures approximately 12cm high (sitting).
