Helena is a lace cardigan with set in sleeves and deep ribbing accents at hip, sleeve cuffs and the over-sized collar. It's knit in one piece from the bottom up until the armholes, and the button bands are worked as you go to reduce the need for seaming and finishing at the end.
The lace stitch pattern is provided in both written and charted format to suit your preference.
- 34 sts & 44 rows = 4" in lace stitch pattern, lightly blocked to open out lace.
- 37 sts & 40 rows = 4" in k1, p1 rib, unstretched.
- 34 sts & 40 rows = 4" in Stockinette stitch.

I LOVE to knit (and sew, and have been meaning to learn a little more crochet...).
Aside from my crafty obsessions, I adore books, audio books, feeding the people I love, colors, nature, playing outside, a good nights sleep, learning new things, daydreaming, pondering the ridiculousness of the world, nerdy history and science related books/shows/movies, how I feel after vigorous activity, finding new things to love, catching glimpses of what the world looks like through my daughter's eyes, cute furry animals, this list could go on and on ....
I think the online community for crafty people is amazing, and I'm so glad to be a part of it. =)
