Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Hektor is knitted in the round using the stitches knit, lifted increases, slip stitch over and knit 2 together.

Pattern Description:

Tyrannosaurs may have a fearsome reputation, but little baby T-rexes like Hektor are actually very sweet. Much like an eager but adorably clumsy puppy, who stumbles over his own slightly too big feet in his excitement.

The PDF pattern includes many pictures and easy to follow, row-for-row instructions for how to knit a tyrannosaur called Hektor.

Gauge:

24 sts and 28 rows = 10x10 cm / 4x4" in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 30 cm / 12" long and 23 cm / 9" tall, sitting down

Materials:

  • 4 or 5 double-pointed knitting needles (4 mm - US 5-6 - UK 8 recommended)
  • yarn suitable for your needles: purple for the main body, small amounts of white and red, plus a tiny amount of black for his features
  • stuffing
  • embroidery needle
