Pattern Description:

Many Christmas tree decorations present choking and other safety hazards to small children and yet children love to decorate the tree. I wanted to make some totally safe, fun little decorations which are very inexpensive to make, washable and durable and which children of all ages can safely handle and cherish and which can become much loved heirlooms. The fact that they have been lovingly hand made by somebody very special, for somebody very special makes them a delightful project. They are also quite simple, a beginner knitter will find them far more fun than scarves and dishcloths and hopefully will be inspired to build on their knitting experience. knitter, they present a terrific way to use up all those odd scraps and leftovers from other projects in their stash.

I love to design fun, safe, washable and durable items to delight children of all ages.

It took me a very long time to teach myself to knit so I am also very keen to support and inspire new knitters by giving them short, quite simple patterns and new techniques to build on their skills.
