small skill level requirement Beginner

Pattern Description:

I had just finished reading The Diary of Samuel Pepys and became fascinated by Pepys' description of the clothes they wore and the fashions they must follow if they wished to catch the eye of the King. I researched English costume and discovered in the late 18th century, the outfit depicted here. The huge mob caps were to keep the elaborate hair-dos of the fashionable women free of dust and safe from the wind and rain.
I decided to re-create this outfit for my Sylvanian Families collection.
The pattern includes a dress, pants, shawl and mob cap, all knitted using 2mm (old UK size 14 - US size 0 ) needles. The items are knitted flat and seamed for simplicity.
