Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, purl, increase, decrease, cast-on, bind-off

Pattern Description:

I've never seen a knit, furry monkey, so I thought I'd create one! And Mooki was born. He's a furry bundle of cuteness and you will find it difficult not to grab him and give him a good squeeze! He's a soft, cuddly guy, hanging around, waiting for a friend to get into mischief with. I have used a sable color eyelash yarn with a contrasting camel color worsted weight yarn for this monkey, but you could make your monkey any colors and yarns you wish. And then, let the fun begin!!!

Gauge is not critical for this project. The size of your monkey will be determined by the type of yarn, size needles, and your personal tension.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Approx. 9 1/2" sitting

  • approx. 206 yds. eyelash yarn
  • approx. 76 yds. worsted wt. yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • 12mm toy safety eyes
  • large-eyed blunt needle
  • polyester fiberfill stuffing
  • long straight pins

Suggested yarn:

282 yards of Worsted weight

Patons Moxie Eyelash yarn & Mary Maxim Starlette
