This is a lovey style toy with rabbit and lamb variations. The knitting is relatively basic, with a lot of shaping to keep it interesting. The most complex parts are the cable cast on to make the paws, and the small amount of seaming to finish the toy.
I would suggest a washable wool or cotton yarn for a cuddly and durable toy. A rattle insert in the head is a fun addition for a baby toy. If you are concerned about the safety eyes, you can simply sew on circles of black felt.

We are a small home business operating from Montreal. We design knitted plush toys and write knitting patterns, so others can join in on the fun. Barbara designs and knits the toys, and Konstantin prepares patterns, and does all the other technical bits.
