Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Cast on, Cast off, Knit, Purl
  • Knitting in the round with dpns
  • Kitchener Stitch

Pattern Description:

Worsted weight mittens to fit American Girl Dolls (18 inches)

Knit in the round, on dpns, and closed at the fingers with kitchener stitch

Knit up fast, and with little more than leftover scraps of yarn (gauge swatches are often the perfect amount)

Paired with a coordinating doll-size hat (coming soon!), they make the perfect last minute gift!


5 stitches per inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Sized to fit the hands of an American Girl Doll


  • Worsted weight yarn (ex. Cascade 220). A gauge swatch is often the perfect amount to knit a pair of these (just rip out your old swatches that are lying around!)
  • SIze 6 dpns (or size to get correct gauge)
  • Scrap Yarn, Needle for weaving in ends
