"A lux addition to babys stroller!"I would like to point out that the pattern specifically says its for a STROLLER, not car seat. And what does the picture have to due with it? The description also says the chest belt is put down for photographic purposes. Plus, this is for a KNIT PATTERN, not instructions on how to properly put your child in a car seat.
This pattern should be pulled. It's seriously unsafe because it encourages people to put the CHEST clip down in the gut area. Anything that keeps the chest clip from it's proper place on the sternum is a giant no-no. In the event of an accident that baby would fly out of that seat.
They are right this is totally unsafe. See where the chest clip is? Babies shouldn't wear coats either in the car, its a safety hazard,
:( As cute as these are, this is not a safe product to make. The chest clip serves a purpose, which is to ensure the straps going over bubs shoulder are are in proper place. The clip also ensures that the straps will remain at proper width under pressure, i.e. in a car accident when bub is projected forward, at the position the straps are in the picture, the bub could fly up and out of the seat, smashing into the rear window, or his mid and upper body may be projected forward, while his lower extremities remain putting thus causing the spin to elongate and disconnect. I mean not to be rude, but for the safety of children, this product should not be available for sale nor should it be reproduced in any form.
THESE are NOT safe...like at all. WOW!!! That kid WILL fly out of that seat in the event of an accident. The CHEST CLIP is down at the crotch. After market products are NOT safe unless made by the manufacturer for a specific seat.
