Pattern Description:

"Archipelago", a Gansey inspired textured stitch sweater and hat pattern for dolls by Debonair Designs

Inspired by both my love of the recognizable and traditional Gansey stitch patterns and west coast living, 'Archipelago' is a long sleeved textured stitch sweater, that features a deep ribbed welt and back-buttoned closure for easy dressing, and matching watch cap hat.
A perfect addition to your doll's winter wardrobe, and for exploring the great outdoors, providing extra warmth whether living on an island, along the coast, in the mountains, or for simply snuggling up in by a cozy warm fire

Worked flat ~ my preferred knitting technique using my bamboo straights

Designed to fit: American Girl Dolls & 18" Gotz Dolls like my models,
Jessica, Julia & Elisabeth that share the same body type.

Construction: Sweater is worked from the bottom up in one piece to armholes, including button bands, each section is then worked individually

Pattern Features:
The textured stitch patterns have been written out with line-by-line
instructions given, including full instructions for working the Lateral
Braid featured at the deep ribbed welt of the sweater. A rolled crew neckline created from picked up stitches, along with classic single ribbing featured on the welt, sleeve edges and cuff of hat
