My mother taught me to knit when I was 11. My first project, a garter stitch scarf, was a miserable failure and I gave up in disgust. The next year my mom was pregnant with my baby sister so I knit a pair of over the knee booties for my soon to be sibling and I've been knitting ever since. I love lace.
