Basic Skills Necessary:

  • "Make 1 stitch"
  • Pick up stitches
  • Single crochet

Pattern Description:

Sofie's Tiny Dog "Party Dress" and Lena's Miniature Dachshund "Ballroom Dance Contestant" Dress are two of my most popular designs and some of my Craftsy friends have asked for these designs to fit their small dogs. So here it is!!

As I write this, I haven't found a living model to show off the dress, so please accept my apologies for using a stuffed doggie substitute. To see how these dresses look on real dogs, I've included photos of Sofie and Lena in their dresses.

The dress is an easy knit but I've designated it as an Intermediate Level knit because you have to do a "Make 1 stitch" and pick up stitches. It's knitted flat in two pieces, then seamed together. Add a single crochet edging around the sleeves and unseamed edges and you've made a Party Dress for your dog!

I'm always here if you have any questions as you work through the project. Just contact me and I'll help! I want you to have an enjoyable knitting experience with a successful result.
