Pattern Description:

This garter stitch scarf is based on the traditional Feather and Fan pattern, but with the eyelets removed. It is knit lengthwise and the stripes are created by changing colors every 2 rows.

The sample was knit in a DK wool, but other weights (e.g., worsted, fingering) would work well. You can change up the number of pattern repeats to change the length of the scarf.

The number of colors, width & order of stripes is all up to you!

Gauge:

18sts, 24 rows in 4" pattern

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

6" wide, 50" long (excluding fringe)

Materials:

50g (approx 135yds/124m) DK or worsted weight yarn in each of 4 colours

US7/4.5mm circular needles with a long cord
darning needle
crochet hook to attach fringe
