I wanted an easy way to knit plaid while not having to worry about intarsia and lots of little bobbins of yarn so I thought, why not add the vertical element in the purl ravines of ribbing! That way your crochet slip stitches lay even with the surface of the knit stitches keeping the illusion of a single knitted piece.
4.5sts and 6 rows = 1" in stockinette
250 yards of Worsted weight
With grandmothers that were hands-on everything, I really had no choice but to craft.
