  • basic decreases ... knit 2 together, purl 2 together

Pattern Description:

There are so few good patterns for men! In general men don't like lace but that shouldn't mean knitting for them should be boring. Here's a scarf that's an old-fashioned sampler of lots of different stitch patterns. Manly stitch patterns with texture and interest. And they're basic easy-to-do stitches, too!!

30 sts/40 rows = 4 inches in stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • approx. 8 inches wide x 72 inches long


  • 400 to 500 metres/yards fingering weight wool (sock yarn works well)

You Will Also Need:

  • 5 mm (US8) straight needles or circular needle
