Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Cast on, Knit, Purl, Yarn Over (YO), Knit 2 Together (K2Tog), Bind Off

Pattern Description:

The faux cable pattern in this cowl resembles the tracks in the sand made by sidewinder snakes in the desert. It's a speedy knit, which produces a sturdy, warm, fashionable cowl! LOTS of WOW factor with a LITTLE bit of effort.

Lace pattern is easy to follow. Knit one up today! These are a great way to show off your fabulous handspun bulky yarn!

Gauge:

approx 3-3.5 stitches to the inch in stockinette stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • finished size approx 7.5 inches tall by 18 inches in circumference (20 cm X 45 cm around)

Materials:

  • 70-100 yards (76.5-91 meters) bulky handspun yarn
  • OR 70-100 yards commercial bulky yarn
