There are so many gorgeous and colorful yarns out there right now: this is a PERFECT way to try some of them out without committing to a major purchase.
This simple scarf can be knit using just 100 yards/meters of bulky weight yarn: one single ball for some yarns!
It's easy and fun to make and as close as knitting can get, to instant gratification. Makes an excellent gift.
WARNING: can become addictive.....
14 - 16 sts = 4"/10cm in garter stitch. Gauge isn't important as long as the fabric is slightly firm.
100 yards of Bulky weight
