Pattern Description:

I remember my daughter and grand daughter both loved to have a comfort blanket when they were small, so this was the reason I thought I would design this pair, which are totally mix and match. I chose the dog theme, as I have a passion for the animals, and thought that this would fit nicely with my other designs I have with Craftsy. Its cute...and its cuddly...and most youngsters love young puppies...so the two should hopefully fit together like strawberry and cream.

Gauge:

As this isn't a garment, gauge is totally unimportant.....remember that this is a project that doesn't need to fit anyone, hence, you have a choice within the pattern to even use different needle sizes for your project

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • This will depend on the size of needle you use....but roughly 13 to 15 inches square as a guideline for the blanket

Materials:

  • 100 grams of yarn for blanket
  • 50 grams yarn for dog
  • 3.5mm or 4mm knitting needles
  • 25 grams of contrasting yarn for scarf...stash buster

You Will Also Need:

  • scissors
  • white sewing thread
  • coloured sewing thread to sew on eyes and nose
  • long pins for holding things in place
  • tape measure
  • tapestry needle for sewing up

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

for the dog itself, I used Tufty by Sirdar....

Colorway:

The choice is entirely yours.

I sell any toys I make ...
