Pattern Description:

Perfect for Valentine’s Day! This is “super great” way to use up those tiny scraps of sport weight yarns! Have you ever thought of making these up for a Senior Center? Make lots of these and pass them out to seniors, to brighten up their day. They will wear these more than just Valentine’s Day! The knit hearts are in 2 sizes, and “very easy” to knit! You add a nice satin ribbon for background, and you have a very special lapel pin or gift! Knitting needles, US# 2 and # 5.


Small heart = 7 stitches to the inch, large
heart = 6 stitches to the inch.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Large heart is about 1 3/4 inches high, Small heart is about 1 1/4 inches high.


  • Sport Weight Yarn, small amount each of pink and red. 1 Pair Size #2 and #5 needles Cotton ball or small amount of pillow stuffing About 1 yd., 1/4 inch wide ribbon for trim Safety pin or jewelry pin back
