This delicate wrap is made with a silk and mohair blend. Wrap it around baby for photos (it is very stretchy), tucking the ends in. It gives a delicate, sheer appearance and because it is translucent, it doesn't take focus off of the baby.
Use yarn with a lot of halo for a glowing effect, or a minimal halo to optimize the definition of your subject. Try a lace weight yarn without a halo for a decorate effect with a clean, crisp look. Use a self-striping yarn with long color changes for a striped effect. Use smaller needles if you prefer a smaller mesh, or try using heavier weight yarn for a fuller effect. The options are endless!
The pattern includes instructions for how to alter the finished size to make any size wrap you would like. This is a beginner pattern, and required skills are casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch and binding off. Because it is knit on large needles, this is a quick knit.

Gauge is approximately 2 stitches per inch, however, as it is knit on large needles and creates a very stretchy fabric, obtaining a specific gauge is not critical for this pattern.
