Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cast on, knit, k2tog, knit with double-pointed needles (dpns)

Pattern Description:

Before the delicious squash comes the beautiful yellow-gold flower! Knit your own, to remind you of summer all year long. Use it as a bookmark or tie it on your wrist to make a bracelet. They make quick and easy gifts and are a great way to use up leftover sock yarn. Book worms love them!

The "stem" is created by working an i-cord. If you have never knit an i-cord, don't worry - it's easy and the pattern includes instructions.

Gauge is not crucial. 7-8 sts = 1 inch in stockinette

  • approx. 50 yards each of two colors of fingering weight yarn, US2 dpns

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle, 2 #6 seed beads
