Pattern Description:

A cute little penguin to keep your tea warm or a toy penguin to cuddle. Both patterns are here - choose one or make both.
You can make him with sew-on eyes, or knit the eyes yourself.

Easy to make in your choice of doubled 8 ply yarn.


15 sts, 21 rows to 10 cm in stocking stitch on 5.5 mm (US 9) needles, using doubled 8 ply/DK yarn

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 46 cms all around at widest part, 24 cms tall
  • Cosy fits medium size pot


  • 8 ply/DK yarn: 100 gms black for cosy, 120 gms for toy, 20 gms white
  • Small amounts of yellow and orange 8 ply/DK

You Will Also Need:

  • 1 pair 5.5 mm (US 9) needles, 1 pair 4 mm (US 6) needles, dacron toy filling
  • Optional: 20 - 25 mm "joggle" toy eyes (sew-on) Note: these are unsafe for 3 yr old and younger children's toys
