Basic Skills Necessary:

  • cast on
  • knit
  • purl
  • increase
  • decrease

Pattern Description:

Knit these cute little sweaters to decorate your Christmas tree.

The pattern uses just 10g of fingering/sock weight yarn. It will work with any weight yarn, just adjust your needle size accordingly. It is a great stash-buster!

The pattern includes clear written instructions to make the sweater, as well as a chart for the holly pattern (created in duplicate stitch). There is a blank chart too for your own design. Also included are links to useful videos demonstrating duplicate stitch and how to make a mini wire hanger for your sweater.


9 stitches = 1 inch in Stockinette

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 15cm/6 inches wide and 8cm/3 inches tall


  • 10g sock/fingering weight yarn
  • Contrasting yarn for pattern on the front
  • 2.5mm double pointed needles
  • Tapestry needle
  • 20-22 gauge wire for hanger (if making)
