Pattern Description:

Knit your own birthday, wedding, valentines or holiday cards. This pattern is for ALL FOUR designs Heart, Tree, Snowflake and Gift.

The little knitted patches are 2.5" square and really versatile. They can be sewn to cards, used as tree decorations, made into a banner or used as funky patch pins.

For an ADVANCED BEGINNER knitter because of the basic intarsia. The patches are a fun way to learn some color work techniques.

One of the patches (the gift) is available as a free pattern on my blog only.

HINTS AND TIPS to help you with this pattern are available on my blog this is mentioned in the pattern.


7 stitches and 9 rows in stockinette stitch = 1"


  • Scraps of DK or Light Worsted weight yarn in three contrasting colors
  • Pair of US Size 3 (3.25 mm) needles (or size needed to obtain gauge)
  • Tapestry needle

You Will Also Need:

  • 2.5" square piece of felt (for each patch)

Suggested yarn:

20 yards of DK weight
