Basic Skills Necessary:

  • k = knit
  • p = pur
  • k2tog = Knit the next 2 stitches together
  • kfb - make a stitch by knitting into the front and then the back of the same stitch.

Pattern Description:

These large knit and felt flowers given in 2 size options, will look eye catching as a bright brooches.

So many creative possibilities with these flowers !

With a pretty button button sewn in the center and a brooch clasp on the back these easy to knit flowers will delight you.

These big funky flowers are knitted in sections and sewn together before felting them in your washing machine.

1x 50g ball of Grundl Filtzwolle wool makes 1 small and 1 large flower.

small flower 16g (16m,17yds)
large flower 23g (23m, 25yds)

I give full and detailed instructions for knitting, making up and felting these flowers.


11 st x 16 rows = 10cm square stocking stitch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished size small flower 13cm (5") across large flower 18cm (7") across


  • Knitting needles 6.5mm
  • 10.5 U.S
