from Crafting-a-Life Originals
(6) Name: 'Knitting : Dryer Ball and Pincushion
Dryer Ball and Pincushion
Dryer Ball and Pincushion

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit, increase, decrease

Pattern Description:

A fun way to practice making a ball and a not-quite ball.

Instructions provided for flat and circular knitting for ball.

Pincushion needs to be knit circularly.

Great for using handspun.

My WPI on the yarns you see here varied quite a bit...and the dryer ball shrunk quite a bit from what you see there. Felted up nicely.

Gauge:

not important... unless you're using super bulky and size 15 needles--you will end up with something like a basketball.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • size doesn't matter (so they say)

Materials:

  • any small-med. needle and matching yarn

You Will Also Need:

  • stitch markers, tapestry needle
