I am a technophile and I am never far away from my laptop and gadgets. I like to work in my local coffee shop and having a hand knitted cover for my laptop makes work feel luxurious whilst I sip on a latte (and sneak in a cake). The cover uses a simple smocking pattern to create a thicker knit, which helps to cushion the laptop whilst being carried in a bag, as well as looking beautiful.
The cozy is knitted in the round in a simple rib and then smocked with a contrasting colour that thickens the fabric. An i-cord edging provides a neat finish and the flap is held in place with 2 buttons. The cozy is lined with fabric to provide extra cushioning and a professional finish.
As seen in Knit Now magazine issue 8
15 stitches and 18 rows in 10cm x 10cm measured over rib
20 stitches and 20 rows in 10cm x 10cm measured over smocking
250 yards of Chunky weight
