A knit and felt beehive skep in two sizes.
In the olden days, beehive skeps were baskets made of grass or straw. They were used for housing a colony of bees as they produced their honeycomb. Knit and felt a whimsical 3.5 or 5-inch beehive as a tribute to the hardest worker out there -- the honey bee!
I have been crafting since I was little kid, but only learned to knit when my son was 6 months old. I started knitting with the hopes of making lots of little mittens and sweaters. My patterns have evolved from the use of various yarns and playing with the felting process. I am a sculpture artist at heart.
