Twin Leaf Baby Blanket

from Painting Lilies
(6) Name: 'Knitting : Twin Leaf Baby Blanket
Twin Leaf Baby Blanket Twin Leaf Blanket
Twin Leaf Baby Blanket Twin Leaf Lace

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit
  • purl
  • knit two together
  • yarn over
  • cast on and off
  • lace knitting

Pattern Description:

I'll always love this pattern because it was the first pattern I ever created on my own. I designed it for a dear friend's baby girl who is now almost 2 years old.

I've never been a big fan of all the traditional pastel baby blanket colors, so I wanted to create something functional, but sophisticated.

This isn't a quick project (nothing with size 3.5 needles ever is), but you can adjust the gauge and use larger needles and thicker yarn to make it faster.

Happy Knitting!
