A simple but effective design, created using a combination of knit and purl stitches. Using super chunky weight yarn, this cushion is quick and simple to make, even for novices! I used Debbie Bliss Paloma, knitted on huge 10mm needles, but you can use any other super chunky weight yarn (remember to check tension if you use a different yarn). It uses approx 4 x 50g balls of the recommended yarn. If you substitute the yarn for a different yarn, it may use more or less. The cover is designed to fit a 14" square inner pad.
10 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in stocking stitch

My name is Tracy and I am a freelance knit/crochet designer living and working in the scenic Peak District area in the UK. I have knitted almost as long as I have walked, having been taught at a very young age by my aunt. I quickly caught the knitting bug and have almost always had at least one project on the go ever since!! I find knitting incredibly therapeutic and get totally immersed in the design process.
I have been selling my pattern designs for the past 4 years - a process now made much easier since the revolution of the .pdf file! My patterns have been sold all over the world and I love it when knitters share their finished projects with me. My favourite designs are those that inspire new knitters to pick up the needles and start a project ... so many of my designs are based on simple stitch patterns that do not take too much concentration to knit and using heavier weight yarns so that projects can be completed quickly.
