of the normal hurry-up-to-finish pressure. Just
something lovely to knit on, whenever you need it.
Allow a full pregnancy if it's for a baby!
Maybe worked full size for blanket or part way only
for a chair pad.

A kit for this blanket is available at

Approximate gauge 5 st pairs x 7 rows per inch.
On needle size 3.25 - 3.75 mm / US # 3 -5.
Aim for a nice soft fabric that gives sufficient
coverage of the colour behind.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • variable: from chair pad to baby blanket to full-size blanket!

  • A set of 5 dpns and 50 cm circular needle, in the size determined by your swatch. Be prepared to reevaluate this after starting the project. Begin with dpns and switch to ever longer circulars as the number of stitches increases sufficiently. Alternatively, use any favourite circular knitting method you wish! As the blanket becomes really large you will need three x 40 - 60" needles. You will also need one dpn two - three sizes larger than gauge for the I-cord edging
  • 400-500 grams of Colours A and B for the blanket

You Will Also Need:

  • yarn markers

Preferred Brand/Yarn:

Kauni fingering weight in two colourways. Select one colourful yarn (A) and a neutral solid or long gradation contrast (B).
