Pattern Description:

This is very different in the “dishcloth” department. You will have fun knitting the “ boat” shape so much, you will want to make many of these! Make some for your boat, or camper. Knit up some for your “seascape” decorating friends too! Fun and easy to knit, and works up quickly! Finished size is about 9” by 9”. There is a hint in pattern for larger one too! Uses worsted weight yarn and small amount of yarn for top “flag”. Knitting needles, US# 9, use size 10.5 for larger size.

Gauge:

Gauge on smaller size - 9 sts = 2 inches, and 8 rows = 1 inch
Gauge on larger size - 4 sts = 1 inch and 8 rows = 1 inch

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Smaller size is about 9 inches high and 9 inches wide, at widest points Larger version is about 10 inches wide, by 10 inches tall, at widest points

Materials:

  • Both sizes, worsted weight cotton yarn, approximately 1 ounce, or 50 yards. Plus about 3 yards of any contrasting color cotton yarn for optional flag.
