Pattern Description:
This attractive, practical afghan is an example of "moose lace", i.e. lace knitted in a heavier yarn than usual. The lace makes this afghan lighter in weight for its size, yet pleasingly warm and snuggly.
Construction: knitted flat in one piece from end to end
Gauge:
15.5 stitches and 24.5 rows = 4 inches / 10 cm over stitch pattern
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 40" by 48" or size desired (width can be adjusted in multiples of 10 stitches; length can be adjusted in repeats of 16 rows)
Materials:
- Yarn: 900 yards worsted weight
- Suggested needles: US 8 (5 mm)
