This is one of those patterns that reminded me of the good 'ol days with mom. Making apple pie as a little girl and creating the fancy patterned top was what it was all about.
This pattern uses knit and purl stitches only. The only other thing you'll need to know is how to cast on, bind off, and weave in ends. This is a 12 row repeat pattern.
You have so much fun knitting this, you'll want to make one for every person on your gift-giving list, no matter what time of year it is.
