Pattern Description:
Inspiration for this design came from the beautiful Northwoods area of Wisconsin where we are surrounded by Evergreens and wildlife. You will love this pattern because of the ease in doing the color work due to the pattern being knit in the round - no purling. It is a relatively quick pattern for those who wish to move along in their projects. Pattern includes color chart and alphabet chart for personalizing your stocking.
Note: Please read the Notes section carefully for instructions on the short row heel and toe.
Gauge:
4 stitches per inch
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- Finished stocking is 21.5" long by 6.5" wide
Materials:
- Yarn: 200 yds. 2-ply worsted weight wool for main color
- 80 yds. each worsted weight wool yarn for contrasting colors
- 16" circular needles sizes 6 & 8
- Double-pointed needles size 8

- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker
- Scrap yarn or stitch holder for holding stitches
- Crochet hook H
