This hanger cover is the prefect combination of using your leftover yarn and creating a gift that will be appreciated.
These hanger covers can be added to any padded hanger or a wooden hanger that you add batting for padding.
I've added a beaded trim to this one but the trim is optional. I just sewed it into the seam when finishing the cover.
Make a supply of these for the Holidays and feel free to use the completed hangers at your next local craft fair.

Knitting is an essential part of my daily routine and when I sew, I totally lose track of time. I enjoy the creative process as much as the finished product. My style might be described as vintage but I refer to it as classic.

I began working with yarn and fabric as a young child. I watched and learned the basics from my mother and aunts as they created clothing and household items by knitting, crocheting, and sewing. My first projects were potholders made on a weaving loom with circular loops, a loom that I still use after 50 plus years. I progressed to a knitting knob and made miles of i-cord, sewing it into mats and accessories for my dolls. Shortly after I began sewing aprons and continued on to sewing clothing for myself and my family members. For several years, I served as the costume designer for local high school musical productions including the King & I. Whenever the opportunity arises, I teach both children and adults to knit and/or sew.
Developing Knit n Sew Studio has allowed me to share my passion for all things hand stitched.
