There's no place like home and what a wonderful way to celebrate that, with these knitted letters. Worked in 8ply yarn, you may choose a different colour and yarn for each letter, or make them all the same.
The finished letters can be sewn to a cushion or knitted bag, pinned to a cork board, framed, sewn together in strips and rows to form a blanket. The display options are limited only by your imagination.
This is a great project for using up left over scraps of yarn. It's also a great project for a new knitter.

21 sts and 43 rows to 10cm over garter st, using 4.00mm needles.
My mum taught me to knit when I was just four years old and I have been addicted ever since.
I now work (if you can call it work!) as a pattern writer and technical editor, both for companies here in Australia and for my own business.
I love the creative process and using a simple ball of yarn and a pair of needles to make something gorgeous yet practical.
