Pattern Description:

As a child, Jill loved her wool binkie until it was tattered and torn. When she met Velvet Touch, it was obvious what to do: create the ultimate "binkie"-this one soft, durable and washable. An easy, full-size baby blanket, is twice the size of the binkie.


3 sts/in and 3.75 rows/in = 12 sts/4" and 15 rows/4" in St st with yarn held doubled
Ball Band Gauge: 4.75 sts/in = 19 sts/4" in on size 5(3.75mm) to size 7(4.5mm) needle

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Binkie 18" square
  • Binkie (Blanket)
  • 18 (36)" square


  • Size 10.5(6.5mm) ndls OR size to obtain gauge
  • Velvet Touch from Wendy Yarns, 100% nylon, 50g/110 yds (100m) (discontinued)
  • Binkie 3 skeins
  • Blanket 6 skeins
