Once upon a time I was a professional costume designer/builder. Then I met a boy. You know how that goes. Now I am a Stay At Home Mom in NJ. We have twin girls who were born in July '07. The artist in me can not stay still, and we could use more income, so here I am! I love creating knit and crochet patterns, sewing (obviously!), book making, well...creating just about anything.
We also have a creative hobby. In some of our free time we are Medieval Re-creationists.
You can learn more about me, and see lots of fun snaps of my children and other creations on my blog, ~or~ You can keep tabs on my creations on my facebook page, both are linked below with my other crafty pages.
Thanks for stopping by!
I created this rug for my daughter's Pink Princess Room. I used some of the copious amounts of Red Heart Super Saver yarn I have in my stash, but you can use 4 strands of nearly any worsted weight yarn you have. You can also play around with different weights and numbers of strands. The pattern will still work, you will just change the size of your rug. Suggestions are also included on how to change the size of your rug by increasing the rows and stitches.
Red Heart Super Saver, or other worsted weight yarn. Hold 4 strands together as 1 when knitting
US 35/19 mm
Not so important, as it is a rug, and you are just going until it is the size you want!
Any, the sample measures 38"x44"
Stitches and abbreviations used:
