It all started when I got a skein of Bernat's Glow In The Dark yarn. I thought of glowing things and Hubble space shots came to mind. I made a swatch but didn't think I had the right yarn or idea for the project.
I put the swatch on Pinterest with the notation "Pillow?" Someone repinned with the idea of a pillow for a boy's room. Perfect! I worked out this pillow then sadly found that Bernat had discontinued the Glow In The Dark yarn. (Oh no!) But happily Knit Picks
brought out Brava yarn which I thought would make a perfect pillow for a child's room. It's strong, but soft and great to knit.
The pillow is knit in two pieces and seamed. It is sized to fit over a 12in X 16in (30cm x 41cm) pillow form that can be found at a Michael's Craft Store.
20 stitches and 28 rows = 4" (10cm) in stockinette stitch

Started seriously knitting back in college and have done it on and off over the years. Came back to it in full force in 2004, learned to knit socks in 2007, became a knitting teacher in 2007, and started designing in 2010.
About designing: I consider hand knits as art for the body. Each piece should be beautiful, and unique for the wearer.
