Skill Level:

small skill level requirement Beginner

Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit and purl
  • double knitting basics are explained in the pattern

Pattern Description:

This bookmark is also suitable for double knitting beginners.
It(tm)s a simple and small pirate and bones pattern and looks like a pirate flag in black and white.

You only need yarn leftovers. Some 12 to 15 g 4-ply sock yarn will do.
And as it(tm)s a quick knit it will also make a special last minute gift.

Note: you can also use this chart (then just leave out the last stitch no. 13) for a Fair Isle project.
Then you have a nice 12-stitch chart that can be used for small projects like hats, scarves, mitts and socks.

Enjoy and happy knitting!

Gauge:

is not that important, but mine was
7 stitches and 9 rows = 1 inch

  • Some leftover sock yarn in black and white (about 10 " 15 g of each colour).

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight

black and white
