Basic Skills Necessary:

  • k = knit
  • p = purl
  • kfb = make a stitch by knitting into the front and then the back of one stitch.
  • k2tog = Knit the next 2 stitches together

Pattern Description:

Use this knit and felt pattern to create your own hanging wall decoration or maybe some heart bunting?

Knitted in one piece, and stuffed before you felt them these hearts are so much fun to knit.

As always Claire gives very clear and detailed instructions for knitting , making up and felting your project.

Recommended yarnDouble Knit or Worsted weight felting wool. To obtain a thick felt with no visible stitches ensure your yarn is 100% pure handwash only wool
Beware of "Superwash" it will not felt!!


tension - 14sts x 21 rows = 10cm square st st

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • Finished Heart String approx 50cm
  • Felted Size each heart 6cm (H) 7cm (W
  • Felted Size felt bead 2cm (D)


  • Knitting needles 6.5mm
  • US 10 1/2
  • UK size 3

You Will Also Need:

  • small amount of poly fibre toy filling

95 meters of DK weight
