Basic Skills Necessary:

  • knit and purl
  • it's an advantage if you know how to do the two-color cast-on but it's also described in a picture tutorial in the pattern
  • basics on double knitting may help but are not required as they are also stated in the pattern

Pattern Description:

Cute little sheep double knitting and therefore reversible bookmark in two colors and also a great way to use up yarn leftovers as you won(tm)t need much.
I knitted it in 4-ply sock yarn leftovers. You will need about 10 - 15 g (depending on lenght of the bookmark).
A picture tutorial of the two-color cast-on and an introduction on the double knitting technique is included in the pattern.
It(tm)s also suitable for double knitting beginners and will make a cute little quick gift, too.

Sizing / Finished Measurements:

  • 17 cm x 4.5 cm
  • will depend on your gauge an yarn


  • 4-ply sock yarn leftovers or Acrylic yarn of similar weight in two colors (brown and off-white) about 10 - 15 g each
  • 2 double pointed 2.00 mm needles

You Will Also Need:

  • tapestry needle to weave in the ends

Suggested yarn:

230 yards of Fingering weight
