Pattern Description:
Inspired by a traditional Amish quilt pattern, this afghan is constructed of Domino squares and triangles, alternating large black squares with colorful squares composed of 9 small squares. Every square or triangle is picked up from another, so there are no seams to sew.
Gauge:
11 sts = 2" (exact gauge not important)
Materials:
- Nos. 5 No. 6 needles
- ~ 20 50-g skeins of DK or Sport weight yarn - I used Brown Sheep singles, Indiecita Alpaca, Jo Sharp DK, and Harrisville Shetland DK. Half of the yarn is black or a dark color, the rest mixed light colors.
You Will Also Need:
- locking markers or small stitch holders
- Yarn needle for working in ends
