Basic Skills Necessary:

  • This is a fairly simple cable, worked as part of the blanket, on a diagonal. The design uses increases, decreases, and short rows to create the diagonal.
  • The pattern is designed for Intarsia cables but could be worked in a single color.

Pattern Description:

I love cables. Colored cables are even more fun and working them on the diagonal adds some interest to a project.

To make this as pictured, you'll need 3-4 balls of the main color yarn, one ball for the background of the diagonal panel, and partial balls of 2-4 more colors.

Depending on how many colors you decide to use, you could be working with up to 7 strands for most of the project.

The pattern includes written instructions for the beginning and ending corners, a chart for the cable, and charts for each corner.
