Pattern Description:
I decided to design a Christmas decoration, and was knitting flat tree shapes, when my husband had the idea that I make my decoration 3D. I think it was a bit of inspiration.
What I think is great about this pattern is that it is very easy (2 needles and all knit). It is great for using up any left over wool you have, as it takes less than 20g. It works in both 4ply or DK, and so far I have not knitted one I don't like yet.
As you will see from my photographs, you can decorate your tree as much or little as you like. The pattern gives the knitting and making up instructions, and if you need any additional help with the embroidery stitches for the decoration it points you to my blog, where there are photo tutorials.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
- 8 to 10 cm tall
Materials:
- Wool 4ply or doubleknit
- Knitting Needles 2.5mm or 3mm
- Beads for decoration (optional)

About the Designer
I have always liked making things, and although I have been knitting a lot recently, I also like sewing and other crafts.
I live on the outskirts of London, and work part-time at a local school, and have partly got back into making things because my children are always doing something creative. At school I love the days when we get really messy.
