Basic Skills Necessary:

  • Knitting, Purl Stitch,
  • Using a Cable Needle

Pattern Description:

This is a relatively easy throw to knit. It is knit in strips and then the strips are sewn together matching up garter stitches on the edge of each strip. The throw uses 8 colours of yarn, one for each strip, or you could use all one colour, the choice is up to you.


Each strip should measure 6 inches in width.
5 garter st rows (3 ridges) = 1 inch


  • Several colours of Knitting Worsted Weight yarn.
  • 4 1/2mm (US8) Straight Knitting Needles
  • Cable Needle

Suggested yarn:

200 yards of Worsted weight
