The sweatersweater is an attention-grabbing pullover that is as much fun to knit as it is to wear. The mini sweaters are knit using the simple intarsia technique. The embellishments on each mini sweater are worked with duplicate stitch. The back of the sweater is plain. The oversized pullover has modified dropped shoulders (square armhole) and a round neck. Be as creative as you wish when embellishing the mini sweaters; use beads, sequins, embroidery, buttons etc. The pattern is clearly written with schematics for each section. There are explanations for the techniques used. Note: The contrasting color yarns (good use for your stash) for the mini sweaters must be the same weight and must have the same laundering instructions as the main color. For your pullover to be the correct size, it is not the brand of yarn that matters, but the GAUGE that is important. It is best to refer to the yardage to determine how many skeins or balls to purchase.
