This is a lovely lace pattern; leave it unblocked for high texture, or block it out to see more of the openwork. The tunic is worked mostly in the round; you only have to sew in the sleeves. The side slits allow the tunic to fit nicely over your hips without clinging.
The yarn I used works up at a gauge of 6 sts per inch in Stockinette stitch; if you wish to use a different yarn, make sure you find one that will match this gauge.
24 sts and 34 rows = 4" (10 cm) in Wave Lace

At 6' tall, I used to have a hard time finding sweaters with long enough sleeves. So I took up knitting to make my own sweaters.
